Constructing a Social Media Page

For a social media page for my artist, I chose Instagram. As it is the most used social media platform, it was easier to get the attention of a wider audience and hence I found it as the best option to promote my artist.
Instead of using a template, I made an actual Instagram account and posted the content over there. I decided the username "_rawberriesproject_" and afterwards added the album cover as Profile Picture and a bio that referenced the actual lyrics from the song I chose. I also added a YouTube link so it would be easier to find the music video.

To create anticipation, I uploaded first half of the album cover and then the second half. Then, I uploaded a shot taken from the music video as the most prominent image on the whole account. Instead of posting the image as a single post, I created a grid through the "Grid" app.

Furthermore, I added story highlights on the account such as behind the scenes, the tracklist and a pre-order option to create a hype for the audience. To keep up with the "funk" aesthetic, I downloaded colorful backgrounds that went well with the overall theme of the account and used them for story highlights.

After researching actual artists' social media accounts, I found out many artists grab the attention of their target audience by revealing an exclusive CD for their album, hence I decided to use the same method.

Finally, after completing the social media account, I took a screenshot of the page and used Adobe Photoshop to edit a verified tick and change the followers/following digits to make the artist seem more realistic.
